I graduated magna cum laude in nuclear engineering in 1982 at the University of Bologna and in 1987 I got a PhD degree in systems engineering at the same university. From 1990 to 1992 I was research associate in system theory with Professor Giovanni Marro at the University of Bologna. In November 1992, I moved to the University of Parma to teach Automatic Control as associate professor. In this university, since 2001 I am full professor of Systems and Control Engineering
